There has been a disturbance in the province surrounding the recent installations of smart meters as ordered by BC Hydro. Homes and businesses are receiving the new meters while the old analogue electrical meters are being removed. Citizens on Vancouver Island are especially upset with the action and have begun collecting signatures protesting the change.

With winter setting in across the country, Canadians are seeing their heating bills rise and in Ontario, the addition of the HST on their bills has some citizens concerned.
