I am concerned for myself paying extra (I am a senior so won’t worry to much) but more concerned for the younger people who have enough taxes and money problems. I also am concerned about the very poor and single parents who have a hard time now. They cannot afford more taxes.

Not the most helpful calculation, what is OTHER, how do you know if OTHER is taxed or not?

The calculator shows that HST will cost me an additional $400/year. However, the calculator conveniently omits the changes in income tax that will offset that $400.

Also, if it costs me $400 to get $1 Billion in federal money for BC, then I am glad to pay the extra to give BC’s economy an extra BILLION dollars.

It’s too bad for BC voters that there is no viable alternative to the BC Liberal party. We could vote NDP if we wanted to drive the province into debt and economic failure, but who really wants that?

The calculation read that it would cost me approximately $10000 more every year on the basic needs, however the calculation neglected to recognize all other needs of the working class people such as insurance and the needs of children who are very expensive to take care of. what will happen to the senior residents and those who are planning for retirement? oh and i do not believe that “other” covers the cost of anything either. the price of what i am losing is quite shocking although i think that this calculation and its requirments were very vague. please add more detail to this.
